The company's investment in the high-tech building exceeds 1 million BGN
Bulgarian telecom operator Neterra announced the launch of construction of its newest carrier-neutral eco data center. The cutting-edge facility will use „Free Cooling" air-conditioning system, which is energy saving and ecological.
This technology uses most efficiently the cold air from the outside environment. In proper weather conditions, this system uses outside air to cool the ethylene-glycol liquid and help maintain room temperatures at the required level. In every data center, air-conditioning system is the major consumer of electricity. This innovative air conditioning technology reduces energy consumption by 30% to 50%. As a consequence, the generated air emissions are significantly lower.
Neterra steps on its long experience in design, construction and management of collocation centers. The facility will provide not only reliable solutions for telecommunication companies and large corporate customers, but also a wide range of services targeted for small and medium business enterprises.
"Even in the most difficult economic conditions, Neterra business continue to grow, which is the best attestation for us" - said Neterra's Managing Director, Mr. Neven Dilkov, at the start of the data center construction.
After the construction of this newest collocation center, the total electrical capacity installed in all of Neterra's data centers shall exceed 1 megawatt. The facility will also have individual cells, providing highest level of security for customer equipment, meet-me-rooms, hands-on site and 24/7/365 technical support by highly qualified engineers.
The facility is expected to become fully operational in the beginning November 2010.
